In a Financial Times report, a Los Angeles tech company, Fama, is offering “social media screening for business” completed in an instant “by machine learning and natural language processing”. Plans to introduce the new 'Frowning Pile of Poop' emoji have been flushed, after controversy sent typographers spiralling into fierce debate. You might be wondering what all the fuss is about? Well, Unicode Consortium said they felt ‘embarrassed’ by the plans to create a new 'Frowning Pile of Poo' emoji, as an alternative to the original 'Smiling Pile of Poo' popular emoji. Unicode is where people work to create popular emojis that appear on Google, Facebook and Twitter (Yes, this is a real job!) Snapchat finally separates the ‘Social’ and ‘Media’

Snapchat’s hyped redesign has been unveiled, and it finally separates business and pleasure. The changes are simple yet modern, and an attempt to recover from the Snapchat’s slowed percentage of user growth for the fourth consecutive quarter. As revealed by CEO Evan Spielberg, on a trendy explainer video, the main change between the current version of Snapchat and the new redesign is the separation of friend-based content and publisher content. Swipe left of your main screen, and you’ll have access to your friend’s stories and chats. Swipe right and you can see all the Discover content, that currently remains jumbled up with stories.
