No, Chris Whitty is not being an ‘alarmist’

By Unknown photographer - Wikipedia

He’s just doing his job.

Among other irresponsible statements from Government officials, discouraging caution is about the worst thing they could do in the middle of a pandemic. Yes, people are being vaccinated, but that doesn’t mean we should stop being cautious.

The government website still hasn’t updated the new symptoms, which are:

  • Body ache
  • Headache
  • Fatigue (either mild or severe)
  • Fever
  • Itchy throat
  • Night sweats

The symptoms seem like a mild cold, which may seem better but it is more dangerous as we can clearly see from the record number of positive cases that seem to be doubling every day. The Tories care about one thing, money. The economy is important, but the only way it will matter is if there are people left for it to matter to and this doesn’t seem like a priority for them.

Mr ‘let the bodies pile high in their thousands’ Johnson doesn’t care if you or your loved ones get sick, so of course comments calling a scientist doing his job an ‘alarmist’ is fine with him.

Please take care of yourself as our government will call for lock down if there are other countries strong-arming them into doing so, like France did the first time.

Get tested, because it’s better to be over-cautious than in the hospital.
