5 things you can do for others now

Covid made us all feel a bit blue at times, and with England heading into lockdown number two, it’s important to take care of each other now. I’ve compiled a list of little things you can do to help out.

    • Start a telephone friendship! Loneliness affects us all, and there are many people out there who would love to have a chat with someone, especially elderly people who haven’t been able to take visitors due to Covid.
    • Donate. Whatever you can – to your local charity shop or an organisation of your choice. Maybe even donate blood if you’re feeling very charitable.
    • Think about something special you can do for someone who can’t celebrate their birthday right now. Put all the ingredients for a cake in a box and put some confetti in there. Sending them a care package – or even just a card – will make their day!
    • Go grocery shopping for others who might not be able to go themselves for health related reasons. Check out the NHS volunteer responder app
    • Last but not least….wear your mask!
