A suspicious package has been found in East London. Police carried out a controlled explosion.

Witnesses reports said to VoL that it seems that a suspicious package was found next to Iceland in Bethnal Green Road.
“I was on my way to the doctor when the police started to come”, said Andy. “No one knows what is happening…”
Witnesses at the scene say that it might be a ‘bomb scare’. People are not allowed to get out of their houses or access the road.
It is believed a controlled explosion has been carried out in Bethnal Green Road to destroy the package.

TfL Traffic News confirms Bethnal Green Road is now open to the public (2pm).
