The Major League Baseball game is coming to the London Stadium this summer, and will be the first to be played in the UK.
The primary use of the stadium after the London Olympics in 2012 has been as the home ground of Premier league side West Ham United, but it has since hosted various sporting events.
CEO of LondonStadium185, Graham Gilmore said at the time of the announcement: “We’ve hosted Premier League football, world athletics, international & domestic rugby union and league, Race of Champions in 2015 and invited some of the world’s biggest musical names to perform in concert at the venue each summer.
“The event will see London Stadium further its aims to become the most widely used stadium in Europe.”
MLB is following in the footsteps of the NFL which has hosted games at Wembley Stadium since 2007.
Ticket prices for the clash between two of the US’ baseball giants have been announced. Premium tickets will set spectators back £385.
Outfield corner seats range between £270-£220, outfield fence seats £120, and second deck seats range from £270- £30.
£30 the cheapest ticket for the baseball games in London and there’s hardly any of them 😳 knew they’d cost more than if it was in the states but how do they expect to attract new fans to the sport if theyll likely have to pay a minimum of £60 for a shit view
