Drugs and guns found on Juice WRLD’s private jet, police confirm

Chicago-based rapper Juice WRLD, whose birth name is Jarad Anthony Higgins, died early Sunday morning after having a seizure on his private jet.

The jet had just landed at Chicago Midway International Airport when the rapper suffered the seizure. Emergency medical services were immediately called, and he was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office said on Monday that autopsy results were inconclusive, and that additional tests would need to be carried out to determine the cause of the death, BBC News reported.

During the investigation into the 21 year-old’s death, police found clues that may shed some light on Juice WRLD’s death.

BBC News reported that the police “uncovered 41 “vacuum-sealed” bags of marijuana, six bottles of prescription codeine cough syrup, two 9 mm pistols, a .40-caliber pistol, a high-capacity ammunition magazine and metal-piercing bullets.”

Two of Higgins’ security guards have been charged with illegally possessing guns and ammunition.

Law enforcement officials were waiting at the airport to search the plane after receiving information that there may be illegal substances onboard.

BBC news reported that the rapper went start seizing while authorities checked the contents of the plane at 2am. Police administered Narcan, and the rapper was rushed to the hospital.
