Give room to the shrooms

Food
Mushrooms are delicate, come in a variety of flavours and give a rich, earthy flavour to your dishes. Imagine my excitement when I received a grow your own gourmet mushroom kit for my birthday.  I absolutely love mushrooms. I started harvesting them as soon as I could. I received my package from a company called Grocycle.com who offer the very best of mushroom growing kits and the fact that they use recycled coffee grounds means they are helping the planet one step at a time. https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=60&v=ID_Y4IgOWdI They send their mushrooms to restaurants across London and help everyone to increase their knowledge of fresh food. Yujia Hu is a chef that combines food and art together. The sushi chef is using his talents to create tiny replicas of people, Jordans and designer gear. Starting at just the age of 18, this chef is paving a new, artistic way of eating shoe-shi. The young chef is now settled in Milan, but growing up has always been around cultures that love food,  as he was a chinese man who grew up in Italy. "I grew up on two completely different cultures, but I must say that I prefer italian cuisine and not chinese."  Now with almost 30,000 instagram followers and a large social media presence, we thought it would be interesting to see where he got his inspiration from and how long his works of art take. What inspired you to create sushi in such an artistic form?  It’s a mix of my passion fo

Now what I find cool was to see my mother make her own bread or granola for us, or making our own butter even though that time I was sure fast food was much better and trendy than boring meals at home. But ever since my move to London, homemade food (especially my mom’s food) has become something that I crave for all the time. Eating fast food or going to restaurants used to be exciting but it is not anymore. Why is that so? Everyone knows that dining out has many advantages, especially for such a lazy person like me! Save or Splurge?

With a new wave of modern restaurants taking over the London culinary scene, food has become less of a meal and more of an experience. Food culture has steered away from traditional steak and jus, and has become a stage show filled with culinary foam, dry-ice filled cocktails and new takes on a classic bisque. At the forefront of the London restaurant scene, Sketch has been all the rage. Found in the heart of central London, the restaurant takes food and reinvented it with quirky techniques. From the second you enter the building, you're greeted with a hopscotch drawing that leads you to a room filled with pink chairs and illustrations; It is a child’s dream tailored for adults. But is it still dining? The finest of dining perhaps. With Sketch’s grand decor and delicious food, this re
