Police appeal after man asks 14-year-old boy to perform sex act

Metropolitan Police released a CCTV image of a man who asked a teenager to perform a sex act in Camden.

Detectives are looking for a man in his 50s with “sideburns and grey stubble”. He was wearing a grey coat and was described as having a “Mediterranean accent”.

The suspect was riding a bicycle and followed the 14-year-old as he catches the bus in Kentish Town Road. The man got off in Prince of Wales Road and turned to Willis Road.

 

The man looked at the teenager and smiled as he stood back allowing the cyclist to pass. After leaving the bus, the suspect approached the victim for the second time, asking him for directions and later requested the boy to perform a sex act on him. The incident took place on Thursday 26 September around 16:40.

The Metropolitan Police force is urging people to report any details they might have relating to this incident by calling 101. Citizens can also call anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Detective Constable Katherine Phipps said: “This incident happened during daylight hours on a busy street. I would urge anyone who might recognise the man in this image to contact police.”
