Conor McGregor looks back at his fight with Khabib

After over two weeks of silence, Conor McGregor opens up about UFC 229 in social media. He reviewed his fight with lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, giving his tactical analysis and point of view.

The fight that took place on 6th October finished with some controversy. After submitting Conor, via neck crank, Khabib jumped out of the octagon after Conor’s jiu-jitsu coach, Dillon Danis. A brief brawl erupted but it was handled quickly by Nevada state security staff.

After the fight, there was an immediate discussion about a rematch between the two. Yet, the Russian champion and UFC president, Dana White, stated that the next title shot is likely to go to former interim champion, Tony Ferguson.

In his statement, Conor complies with the UFC’s decision not to grant him a rematch by saying: “I will be back with my confidence high. Fully prepared. If it is not the rematch right away, no problem. I will face the next in line. It’s all me always, anyway.”

Currently, McGregor is on a world tour to promote his new company, Proper Twelve Irish Whiskey. The brand was announced shortly before the fight on 6th October and it is now an official UFC sponsor.
