Ahead of the shocking results revelation over the weekend, JLS singer, Aston Merrygold has announced that his dancing days aren’t over just yet.
Fans were left shocked and upset at the news of Merrygold’s departure from the Strictly Come Dancing contest on Sunday night. At such an early stage in the show, it was a surprise to everyone when his journey was cut short, having been a firm favourite to win from the start.
Many viewers felt the result was unjust, with other contestants still in the show who consistently rank at the bottom of the scoreboard.

Despite the controversy, Merrygold and dance partner, Janette Manrara tease us by suggesting we haven’t seen the end of the dynamic duo just yet. On ITV’s This Morning today, it was revealed that the pair plan to continue dancing the show’s routines for the themed week’s ahead and will hopefully film them for us all to enjoy.
Not only this, but the pop singer also expressed how he was keen to pass his passion onto young children and intends to open his own dance studio in London. On last night’s show of It Takes Two, he said: “I’ve enjoyed it so much and now I’m going to give other people the opportunity to do the same thing.”
While disappointed, the exit from the show will give Merrygold and girlfriend, Sarah Richards more time to prepare for the arrival of their first child, who is expected in January next year.
