Victoria’s Secret Show 2017: A sneak peek into the Balmain collaboration

The final countdown for Victoria’s Secret fashion show 2017 has officially begun and we cannot wait to see what it has for us.

After revealing the sublime new fantasy bra early November, the lingerie giant keeps piquing our curiosity by releasing a preview of their collaboration with Balmain. It is the first time Victoria’s secret is working with a Couture house and it promises to be spectacular.

Balmain’s artistic director Olivier Rousteing is designing custom looks for the fashion show. He is also working on a capsule collection that will be available to shop online on November 29th after the show is broadcasted.

The high fashion designer is familiar with the lingerie brand. He attended several of the past runway shows and worked closely with a lot of the VS angels. Alessandra Ambrosio, Josephine Skriver, and Elsa Hosk were cast in his SS18 runway show during Paris Fashion Week.

With his signature sexy and structured silhouettes, we can say for sure that Rousteing’s creations for the VS fashion show will be absolutely perfect. The savant association of leather, fishnets, spikes, and studs will bring some rock ‘n’ roll to the pink universe of the lingerie brand.

It promises to be punk, sparkly, and very 1970 rock. Victoria’s Secret angel Jasmine Tookes also gave us a little sneak peek into her fitting, showing very edgy wings, made entirely out of safety pins. Although it is far from the traditional feather and glittery wings of the brand, the result is breathtaking.

The designer also gave us a look behind the scenes in a video, showing the creative process behind Cindy Bruna’s outfit. The French model appears in a very Balmain oversized jacket, enhanced by chain fringes and crystal embroidery. A black corset, sparkly high knee boots, and a spiky choker complete this ultra sexy look.

Without a doubt, the VS show 2017, taking place in Shanghai, will be making fashion history. So tune on CBS on November 28th at 10 pm to be part of this runway extravaganza.
