Which London boroughs are the safest to live in?

Following the recent devastating crime events in the UK such as the abduction, rape and murder of 33 year old Sarah Everard by Metropolitan police officer Wayne Couzens which took place in March 2021 and the murder of 28 year old primary school teacher Sabina Nessa, it has become increasingly clear that women’s safety is as much of an issue as ever.

We haven’t progressed nearly as much as would be expected over all these years. More and more members of the public are showing concern regarding themselves, their children and daughters as to whether or not they can ever find a way to feel safe going about their day-to-day life on the streets of London.

Women are wondering whether there are any circumstances or neighbourhoods where they can feel completely safe going out on the streets alone. Whether that be at night or even during the daytime, as it has been proven time and time again, that even in the middle of the day, attacks on women can take place and can go unnoticed and be just as violent as occurrences at night.

With increasing worries about safety issues in London specifically concerning women and children many people are starting to question whether the borough that they live in is actually as safe as they thought it was. London is notorious for having some of the highest crime rates in the country, which can affect anyone.

While some areas of London might be better than others, it still goes without saying that as London is the biggest city in the UK, it is also home to the highest number and the largest percentage of crime rates across Britain.

However, some boroughs of London are significantly more Dangerous to live in than others. Some are hubs for various local gangs but also other factors that can also play into what makes these boroughs so unsafe and so infamous for their low safety rate.
