COP26: Draft deal reaction

On Friday  the climate crisis conference comes to an end and the big question is whether COP26 achieved something?

A new draft agreement calls for urgent action from governments asking them to reveal their plans known as nationally determined contributions (NDCs) on the reduction of greenhouse gas and to strengthen support for poorer countries to fight climate change known as climate finance.

Despite hope and all the promises made, UN Chief Antonio Guterres said: “COP26 would not probably achieve its aims” the BBC reported.

Extinction Rebellion UK made a powerful statement and said: “We can not rely on COP”.

We see that although COP26 was an opportunity to come up with a solution, it seems to have created more doubts about its efficiency.
