The Ultimate Fighting Championship has secured the O2 Arena for a Fight Night event on the 16thof March.
The UFC last came to London in March 2018, when Fight Night 127 was held in the city, when Alexander Volkov defeated the now-banned former heavyweight champion, Fabricio Werdum.
No fights have been announced for the upcoming event. However, there has been ample speculation that UFC newcomer, Ben Askren (17-0) could face former welterweight title challenger, Darren Till (17-1). Both fighters have been exchanging heat over social media for the past few days.
Yet, some fans feel that the UFC haven’t been bringing their best fighters to London.
In an official announcement a UFC spokesperson said: “London has always been the home to landmark UFC events and has played host to some of the most memorable moments in UFC history, including Michael Bisping’s spectacular defeat of the legendary Anderson “The Spider” Silva in February 2016.”
Tickets for the fight go on sale on the 1stof February.
