The most Instagrammable graffiti artist

Today’s coolest artist, a friend of the Hollywood stars. Check him out but keep in mind his lifestyle can drive you mad

All over Instagram, a graffiti artist for the top class. Alec Monopoly is a worldwide famous graffiti artist, known to have made a special piece for A-list celebrities like Philipp Plein, Miley Cyrus, Robin Thicke, Snoop Dogg, Seth Rogen, Adrien Brody and Iggy Azalea. Even the Kardashians have gotten personalised Birkin’s.

Wearing his top hat and covering this face with a bandana. He keeps his indemnity hidden for two reasons. From being wanted by the police in New York to one of the most sought-after street artists in the art world, Alec ‘Monopoly’ has definitely come a long way.

His career started as a simple artist with a love for the monopoly character. For Juxtapoz Magazine Alec said that  “I stay away from mailboxes, highways, freeways, and basically any federal and government property. I like warehouses and abandoned buildings. For example, I would never hit a coffee shop like the one we’re in: they [the owners] are trying to make it just like I am. I try to be as positive as I can about what I put out there and I try to do it with imagery everyone can identify with. Most people walking by my stuff are not graffiti people or art people, so figuring out a way that everyone can identify with my work is important.” He puts his positivity and light through his art. The piece is very cool childlike with a very nice pop of colour. I bet we have all see them around Instagram. Conducting a little poll of how many people have actually heard of him and are fans, we found that 17 out of 20 young adults following his work regularly. Asking why would they go and see his work the repose’s was ” is so cool, and being able to seeing a snap in for my mates is awesome, especially when his work is not as affordable” Alex 22.   Well, now we all have the chance to see his work and take some cool pictures for Insta. The Eden Fine Art gallery is exhibiting some of his work and also some of his luxury goods, to view and to purchases. So maybe head down and have the opportunity to see the coolest pop art there is.
