State Champs release new video for “Criminal”

State Champs are taking on some new roles in their brand-new video for ‘Criminal’ which originally premiered with Billboard. On the video, bassist Ryan Scott Graham shares “We had a blast filming a handful of cameos for the new Criminal video.

Miguel Barbosa had a great vision to expand on our idea of developing a series of interconnected videos for this album cycle, this of course being a prequel of sorts to the video for Dead and Gone. We had a lot of people asking about the meaning of it all, but we’re not ready to divulge that information yet! Just watch the video and enjoy.”

Lucky for any fans wondering what happened with the iPod Classic after this filming, it is currently being loaded up with some of the Champs crew’s favorite jams and will be given away to one lucky winner. Fans can head to Billboard.com to check out the video and grab details for this special giveaway.

Always known for their incomparable stage energy, the New York 5-piece will be delivering an epic combination of high-voltage pop punk, new stage production and recent fan-favorite tracks like “Criminal” “Dead and Gone” and “Our Time To Go” across North America beginning tonight in Chicago before returning to the UK this summer to play Download Festival on the 16th of June.

The upcoming tour is in celebration of the band’s third studio album, Living Proof.Released last Summer via Pure Noise Records, the 13-track collection is the most ambitious and cohesive work in the band’s catalog. While securing the #9 Top Current Albums, #28 Top 200 and #3 Rock Billboard charting positions, this album has seen impressive praise from fans and press alike.

While creating Living Proof, State Champs went back to their roots, writing and recording in garages while also collaborating with Mike Green and Kyle Black as they did forAround The World And Back. They didn’t shy away from new experiences either, working with legendary producer John Feldmann (Blink-182, Good Charlotte) for the first time while additional contributions came in the form of writing sessions with Alex Gaskarth (All Time Low) and Mark Hoppus (Blink-182). On an album full of go-for-broke moments, State Champs pushed themselves to new heights without ever forgetting where they came from.

Living Proof is a record about coming out the other side those experiences, both triumphant and humbled. That growth is palpable, as State Champs made a record that’s like nothing they’ve done before, but is still an album that only they could ever make.
