Police asks public to identify a Westminster slash attack suspect

Metropolitan Police revealed a CCTV footage of a man slashing an unsuspecting woman across the bottom with a sharp object, late at night on Sunday, 28 October.

The incident took place at about 8:45pm at Craven Terrace, Westminster. The footage showed the suspect casually walked away from the scene after the assault on the woman. The victim, a woman in her 20s, was entering a flat at Craven Terrace when the incident happened. She soon received medical attention at the hospital on her wound.

The Metropolitan police describes the incident as a random attack. The man was described as medium-to-tall build and was wearing a big jacket and a hat at all time during the assault. The police urge anyone who could identify the man to come forward.

DC Yousuf Bhamjee, told The Guardian, “This assault has had a significant impact on the victim. I am appealing for anyone with information to get in touch with us on 02073217620.”
