Police and paramedics were called out to Lavender Hill, Enfield at 1pm on October 31st after a man had been stabbed.
When officers arrived at the scene there was no sign of a victim.
A man, who is not confirmed to be the victim, admitted himself to a nearby hospital with stab injuries.
He died shortly after 2:20pm.
A police spokesman said: “A post-mortem examination will be scheduled in due course and we await formal identification.”
The roads have been closed off and people have been urged to avoid the area.
There have been no arrests.
