Man hit by a train at Bayswater Underground Station, London

The suspect, 29, was charged with attempted murder after he allegedly pushed the victim into the path of an oncoming train during rush hour.

The victim who was in his 50s was hit by the train at about 17:00 GMT on Thursday, British Transport Police told The BBC.

According to police, the victim did not suffer severe injuries.

The BBC reported that District Judge Tan Ikram ordered the suspect to appear at Blackfriars Crown Court on 1 December.

There had been no application for bail.
