Mamma Mia! An ABBA exhibition is now open at the O2

ABBA is one of the most well-loved bands in history so fans will be thrilled to hear that an exhibition dedicated to the Swedish pop group is opening at the O2 today (Friday 6th December).

ABBA: Super Troupers is an immersive experience that will look at the band’s history, music, lyrics, creative processes and influence.

The band – consisting of Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson and Anni-Frid (‘Frida’) Lyngstad – first came onto the UK music scene in 1974 with a spectacular Eurovision performance of the song that would eventually become their first UK number one – Waterloo.

The exhibition will allow fans to go on a journey through time as it explores the rise in success of one of the world’s favourite bands in a series of rooms dedicated to each of their eight multi-platinum selling albums – complete with items from Sweden’s ABBA: The Museum.

The show will be a step up from the 2018 exhibition shown at the Southbank Centre and visitors can expect to experience a behind-the-scenes view of ABBA’s fame and influence, as well as learn about the public and personal journey of each band member.

So, if you fancy saying ‘Thank You For The Music’, head over to the O2 where ABBA: Super Troupers The Exhibition runs from 6th December 2019 until 31st August 2020.

Tickets: adult – £27; child (16 and under) – £13.50; family of 3 – £54; family of 4 – £65; family of 5 – £72; concession – £22; adult return (you can enter the exhibition four times) – £59.50.
