London Broncos have continued to strengthen their squad with the signing of Hull FC’s Jordan Abdull.

The 22-year old was highly rated during his time at Hull FC, but the half-back struggled to get game time last season after suffering a broken leg in April, and ended the season out on loan at rivals Hull KR.

After handing in a transfer request at the end of last season, Abdull will leave the KCOM Stadium to move to the capital on a one-year deal. Hull FC will also receive an undisclosed fee.

Abdull told Hull Live: “It’s been good to finally get my future sorted and knowing what I’m going to be doing now. I can put all of my concentration into being the best that I can be now. Hopefully I can kick on and strive to be a better player.

“The longer time went on, I was fearing that no Super League clubs would come in for me so I do feel very fortunate and blessed, but I’m a big believer that everything happens for a reason.”

It is the latest signing for the Ealing-based side as they try to strengthen ahead of their first season in Super League since being relegated in 2014.

Last week the highly-rated James Cunningham, Elliot Kear and Eloi Pelissier signed contract extensions with the Broncos. Coach Danny Ward has also been able to secure the services of Nathan Mason and Greg Richards, who come with experience of the top flight after stints with Huddersfield Giants and Leigh Centurions respectively.

London Broncos’ rapid recruitment comes following their shock promotion to Super League after beating Toronto in the Million Pound Game in September.
