Shadow education secretary Angela Rayner announced the Labour Party’s manifesto will be officially announced on Thursday.
In a video on Twitter, Rayner said: “My lips are going to have to be sealed until Thursday when we formally announce it.”
Rayner met with other Labour officials to discuss the party’s manifesto.
The Parliamentary Candidate for Ashton-under-Lyne, Droylsden and Failsworth said: “Today I am going to our manifesto meeting where, the trade unions, senior members of the Labour Party and the Shadow Cabinet, will all get together to decide what goes in our manifesto.”
Dan Carden, the shadow secretary of state for international development, tweeted a similar statement as his party colleague.
Arriving at the meeting of senior Labour figures, leader Jeremy Corbyn said the manifesto will be “a document that will be transformative to the lives of people all over this country”.
