It’s Human Rights Day! But… do you even know your rights? Keep on reading to find a quick little audio condensing the thirty human rights in the United Nation’s official Declaration into just four minutes. Yes, you read that right: FOUR.

The 10th December has finally arrived and that means it’s Human Rights Day worldwide – it also means it’s only fifteen days until Christmas!

Human Rights Day is a day of the year which is specifically aimed at dealing and celebrating our rights as a human. Essentially, this means that there will be numerous political conferences and meetings dealing with this issue, cultural events and exhibitions. And maybe – to keep up with the latest trends – throw in a few protests here and there, too? (I’m only kidding, people have been protesting on the streets for our human rights for years, and you have proof in the gallery inserted below.)

However, this day is extremely important because, in such a tumultuous time – where racism has risen again and there is so much hate against those that are “different” from us – today is a great excuse to take a step back and think.

Take a step back and see that, in the eyes of the law, we are all just Humans. It’s just like when you have an employee number or student number, and write that down as your identification instead, so that all marking and treatment is fair. They won’t know your sex or race or religion. They’ll just know you’re a person.
