Capital FM’s Jingle Bell Ball took place at the O2 this weekend for its 10th year. The Star studded line up had a good mix of genres and big names for both days.
The event became sold out in a record-breaking 43 minutes. This also means that there were 16,000 fans each night.
Roman Kemp and Vick Hope from Capital Breakfast hosted the show.
Both nights had a former One Direction Member (Niall Horan for the first one and Liam Payne for the second one). For lovers of more techno-ish music there were Major Lazer, Sigala and The Chainsmokers.
The last minute additions were last week’s X Factor winners Rak-Su and breakthrough artist Big Shaq (Michael Dapaah), who made the crowd go crazy with his viral Man’s not hot.
Dan Smith from Bastille was a surprise guest, he sang I know you duet with Craig David.
The Voice of London’s Entertainment team was there on Sunday and the amount of the fans’ excitement for Taylor Swift could be seen from miles away. The tickets ranged from 50 pounds to 300 for the exclusive Jingle Zone.
Ed Sheeran closed the Sunday’s show with a longer set that also included Perfect, his most recent UK Number 1.
Between smoke machines and confetti, the jingle bell ball had the atmosphere of a party and certainty did not disappoint its audience.
