It’s Christmas in November: Nando’s and Starbucks 2016 festive menus

This November, Nando’s is wishing you a very PERi Christmas by launching their first festive menu. There are two new seasonal offerings this year – both flame-grilled, both sounding quite delicious. And your morning coffee at Starbucks got its winter twist back as well

Say hello to the PERi-Berry Burger; a match made in heaven for all of us who have a hard time deciding whether to get boneless chicken thighs or chicken breast fillets every single time we go to Nando’s (Every. Single. Time.) This new burger combines both of the mentioned classics (yes, that is right, you can have both in one bite). It is served in a Portuguese roll with baby spinach and a PERi-Berry Chutney starring a mix of blueberries, cranberries, raspberries and PERi-PERi Chillies.

But Christmas is the right time for sharing, so you might as well get the new PERi-Orange Wings. If you are into that touch of sweetness, this sticky delight completed with the citrusy glaze is exactly what you’re looking for. You can, as usual at Nando’s, choose different levels of heat of your dish – if you want it sweet, sticky and spicy.

You can try these new festive treats from next Tuesday, and if you happen to like it, it will be available until the beginning of January.

Starbucks, however, revealed their Christmas beverages and dishes last week (guess they just could not wait for the end of Halloween frenzy). The customers can enjoy traditional festive flavors in their coffees and hot chocolates, buns and muffins, as they can every year.

Christmassy period brings you winter favorites – your Latte can now be infused with eggnog, toffee nut or gingerbread essences, or you could just warm up your day with the Fudge Hot Chocolate. Cold versions of these drinks are also available, for those who prefer Ice Lattes and Frappuccinos (‘the cold never bothered me anyway’ fo’evah).

If you fancy a sweet treat with your morning coffee, we recommend a Chocolate Snowball Muffin or a Snowy Mountain S’mores Brownie to go. The seasonal menu also features Ginger Loaf Cake and the traditional Mince Pie, among several other desserts. As for the sandwiches, try Turkey & Maple Bacon combo or Roast Beef & Blue Cheese Brioche. The classic Turkey Feast Baguette, with a festive twist featuring cranberries and maple-cured smoked bacon is also the offer; and for those who are not meat-lovers can enjoy a Festive Veggies Feast instead, served with butternut squash and Brie.
