University of Westminster’s award-winning radio programme, Smoke Radio, debuted a new podcast that focuses on the dating trials and tribulations that are common across the globe according to students studying and dating abroad in London.
As London’s population is just shy of nine million people, many singletons living abroad in the vibrant city believe that their chances of finding love in ‘London Town’ will be more successful than in their home country.
Although a recent study by Badoo.com of 5,000 millennials revealed that they are spending a minimum of 10 hours per week on dating apps such as Hinge, Bumble and Tinder. London has an estimated single population of 44 per cent, according to research from a fellow well-known dating app, Match.
The American and Danish students featured in the very first episode of the podcast take on the subject of international dating in a funny, passionate and vulnerable approach, covering topics from dating terms and slang words to who should pay on the first date.
If you’re continuously getting ghosted, struggling to get out of the ‘friend zone’ or wondering when to go ‘Instagram official’, have a listen to Smoke Radio’s official International Dating Podcast on the Soundcloud audio below or on Spotify for more detail on the international daters’ unique experiences.
