Instagram hides ‘likes’ in new update

The social media app has taken away the public view of how many ‘likes’ a photo has received and replaced it with the word ‘others’.

Only those who own the account will be able to see how many people have interacted with their photo by going on to the like section on the post.

The update was rumoured to happen in previous months and has now been applied, shocking those who doubted it.

Twitter reactions show the update to be a good thing, while others seem distressed by the change.
