Crystal Palace celebrate FA Girls’ Football week with free sessions

It is well-known that girls’ football is still a way behind the mens’ game in terms of funding, publicity and participation.

That is why initiatives like FA Girls’ Football Week exist, to promote the women’s game and engage more young girls in the sport who are seeking opportunities to play.

The initiative will take place next week between 6th-12th November 2017, in an attempt to get more girls involved football with the long-term aim to double the number of female participants by 2020.

South London is a hotbed of sporting talent, but opportunities are often scarce. That’s where Crystal Palace come in. Being the biggest club south of the river, the club’s official charity, the Palace for Life Foundation, is running several free sessions for all ages and ability levels across south London.

Find out where and when here.
