Cheryl Tweedy, previously Cheryl Cole, or best known now by her mononym as just ‘Cheryl’, is in essence a pop culture phenomenon. Having graced the cover of Vogue three times, had four solo platinum selling albums spawning five number one singles, as well as launching her own clothing line, Cheryl has reached A list celebrity status, and with that comes the arrival of her fragrance line; Stormflower. Famous for her debut single ‘Fight for this love’, Cheryl is frequently described as being a ‘fighter’ in the tabloid press, resulting in the name of her first fragrance line, something beautiful with a contrasting aggressiveness; Stormflower.
StormFlower Noir is a spin off from her debut fragrance, called simply ‘Stormflower by Cheryl’. The Noir version comes in a seductive and sexy new black bottle, topped with a beautifully intricate and detailed golden rose top and of course a delicious new scent.
According the experts at Cheryl’s fragrance website…
“Stormflower Noir EDP introduces a glamorous and charming addition to Cheryl’s collection. It captures the imagination with a tang of rhubarb, lively Mandarin and pear. The floral heart is rich and heady with voluptuous tuberose, orange blossom and a sprinkle of rose petals. The fragrance concludes with irresistible brown sugar, addictive musk and creamy sandalwood. The result is opulent beauty but with the understated simplicity of Cheryl’s approach to fragrance: classic, evocative and elemental. Notes: Mandarin, Pear, Rhubarb, Rose Petals, Orange Flower, Tuberose, Heliotrope, Sandlewood, Ambret Seeds, Brown Sugar, Captive Musks.”
Voice of London took to the hallowed halls of the University of Westminster’s Harrow campus, and asked 20 students to sample the fragrance and then summarise their honest opinion by ticking one of four boxes on a sample sheet. Unsurprisingly, 16 of the 20 students asked said they either liked the fragrance or they would buy it imminently.
The fragrance is priced towards the higher end of celebrity scents, but in this case you absolutely get what you pay for. The fragrance is long lasting and is perfect for day or evening use.
The appearance of the bottle and packaging is a gift in itself, with gorgeously sculpted designs and patterns illustrating the authenticity of the beauty of this product on the exterior.
Stormflower Noir would make a delicious addition to your Christmas present list this year. Available now at Boots, Superdrug, Amazon, Debenham’s and the Perfume Shop.
