Can Lewis Hamilton bring another World Championship back to Britain?

The Mexican Grand Prix could prove to be an action packed race as the Stevenage speedster looks to add yet another Drivers Championship to his trophy collection.

Schedule:

Saturday:    Qualifying – 19:00 pm BST

Sunday:       Race           – 19:10 pm BST

Formula 1 heads to the ‘Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez’ in Mexico City this weekend, consisting of 17 corners comprising 4.3 km.

The grand prix was first held in 1963, with Jim Clark coming away with the 1st place trophy.

Despite the circuit’s long history, only 19 races have been held following F1’s return to Mexico in 2015.

Since then it has been vital in providing the arena for the drivers’ championship, with the last 3 championships being decided here.

Despite multiple overtaking opportunities scattered throughout the track, strategy takes priority in Mexico with an expected one stop strategy expected to be favoured for teams.

However, with rain forecasted on Sunday during the race anything is possible, as highlighted in Hockenheim earlier this year which proved a race to forget for points leader Hamilton. Team mate Valtteri Bottas is the only likely candidate to possibly pip Hamilton to the title.
