G-Eazy and Kim Petras are bringing the ghouls and ghosts out in music form this October, just in time for the spooky holiday season.
“A little treat for y’all just in time for my favorite season,” G-Eazy wrote on an Instagram story when announcing his plans to drop the EP earlier this week.
The 30-year-old American rapper teased his Instagram followers earlier in the week with a white skeleton nose and mouth on a black background—believed to be the album’s cover artwork.
The eight-track project entitled Scary Nights was officially released on 18 October features collaborations with fellow hip-hop artists French Montana, Miguel, The Game, Gunna, Dex Lauper, Money Bagg and Preme.
“Big ups to everyone that made this one happen. Shouts to all the producers and artists who blessed the project,” the Oakland-native rapper stated on his Instagram account. “Young Gerry getting scary.”
The EP is available for immediate streaming on Spotify, Soundcloud and Apple Music.
German-born singer-songwriter Kim Petras took her love for All Hallows’ Eve to a whole different level with the release of Turn Off The Light.
Heavy promotions for the 27-year-old’s dark-pop Halloween EP started mid-September, teasing fans with demented album artwork of herself looking like a cross between Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas and a Victoria Secret zombie-model.
The EP was speculated to have been a follow up from her October 2018 project Turn Off The Light Vol. 1 but on 30 September, Petras surprised her fans by revealing the 17-song tracklist.
“I have a surprise for u about turn off the light,” said Petras on her Instagram account. “I know u were expecting vol 2 but I’m giving u the whole damn story”.
The full-length album was officially dropped on 1 October and features a guest appearance from Elvira, Mistress of the Dark on the title-track “Turn Off The Light”.
Petras plans to bring the highly-anticipated show to life on stage at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on 30 October.
“I can’t wait to perform all of turn off the light 2 for you!”, Petras exclaimed on Twitter. “I’ll c u there!”
You can find the album on Spotify, Soundcloud and Apple Music, as well as Petras on her “Clarity” tour now.
