Are Chapel the craziest band at Slam Dunk?

Don't take it the wrong way, crazy ... in a good way, we love those dudes. Carter and Kortney, or better, Chapel, decided to delight Slam Dunk fans with a crazy set across the entire weekend on the Rocksound Breakout Stage. Fresh off their US tour with Sleeping With Sirens, we met them in Birmingham to discuss about brunch, drinking and ... mountains. Fun Facts? During the process of transcribing this interview, we realised that Carter said he likes Sal's sweater 6 times within 12 minutes. Kortney mentions the word "mountains" 5 times which we had to cut out.  Also, I was expecting them to show up covered in maple syrup, it didn't happen. Last day of Slam Dunk, how was it? Tell us all. Kortney: It's been amazing, last time we were in the UK was one of the best tours we ever did

Canada is well known for producing the greatest artists and band. To name a few? Sum 41, Simple Plan, Nickelback, and  .. Selfish Things, with the release of their EP Vertical Love, they deserve a place on the list. We met with Alex Biro at Slam Dunk Midlands and he told us about the EP and the beginning of the band, he also told us about love, he told us about accepting who you are and understanding that being angry is okay. Definitely a great act at Slam Dunk on the Acoustic Stage, Selfish Things have put the roots to establish their music in the UK. How are you? I am okay actually, a bit tired. We did 56 days around the US before this, I have a meeting tomorrow. Then I fly back to Canada for two weeks then summer festivals. I am also planning a wedding, because I am gett

When Homesafe hit Slam Dunk …

When they offered me to interview Homesafe at Slam Dunk, of course I accepted. Straight from Chicago, the land of Real Friends and Knuckle Puck, these guys know how to hold the crowd and make everybody go wild. We're lucky enough to have experienced it at this year's Slam Dunk. The band will release the album "One" on June 29th via Pure Noise Records and here's what they told us about it. Why have you decided to release "Run"? Emanuel: We had a follow up to "Vanilla Scented Laser Beams" with some sort of like same energy, just to keep it going and flowing. We feel like "Run" was the perfect song. Joe: It's a quicker song for Homesafe because for whatever reason is, we write really long songs. We can't write a song that is a minute and a half long. We never do. "Run" was a good ...

It happened. The Voice of London sat down with Ollie and Dorian from Broadside to discuss about Paradise, their first ever festival in the UK and dealing with life after Warped Tour. You just played your last set at Slam Dunk, how was it? Dorian: It was great, fun. I am not entirely sure about what happened, but they put these gates up to the left of our stage to keep people coming and then they locked up? I think we reached capacity or something, but I also saw people waiting outside the gates. Oliver: The energy was good, it was probably our biggest crowd we played to, but then again, it's hard to say. Dorian: Day 1 even was surprising for us. Oliver: Maybe Slam Dunk in general. It was more of a consolidated area. There was definitely 800 people every day, for sure. Dor...
