Pharrell Williams is Designing a Capsule Collection for Chanel

Megastar Pharrell Williams announced he is designing a capsule collection with luxury fashion house Chanel.

Chanel confirmed the ready-to-wear and accessories edit will debut exclusively on 29th March next year, in the brands flagship store in Seoul, South Korea. The Spring/Summer 2019 collection will then drop in selected Chanel stores around the world shortly after. However, details on the sizing and pricing of the range remain unknown as of yet.

The news of the collaboration was revealed at a replica of Chanel’s Cruise 2018 show in Bangkok. The long-time Chanel collaborator told fans that it is ‘coming soon’, pointing at a Chanel logo.

While no photos have of yet been released of Williams’ future designs, the musician sat front row wearing a yellow hoodie adorned with embellished Chanel logo detailing, giving us a first look at the future collaboration.

Williams has worked with Chanel, and Karl Lagerfeld, many times before with partnerships dating back to 2014.  The singer and producer, infamous for pop hits such as Happy, has starred in multiple campaigns for the brand.

He also walked the runway at the Metier d’Arts pre-fall 2017 show and worked on the Chanel x Pharrell x Adidas limited edition NMD Hu trainer collaboration in Paris last year, which sold for up to £30,000 on the resale market.
