The trailer for Sacha Baron Cohen’s latest movie, Grimsby, has been released. The film tells the story of Cohen as a football hooligan, who goes on the run with his brother, a secret agent, played by Mark Strong.

‘The only thing more dangerous than the world’s greatest spy is his brother’
The film sparked controversy in 2014, (but has since been set for later release due to the high amount of spy movies currently taking over the film industry) attracting criticism from Grimsby’s very own Councillor, Matthew Brown, over the portrayal of the Lincolnshire town;
“What also worries me is that there is no benefit to the local economy which is carrying the town’s name. Anything that you associate with football hooliganism is going to be negative, but I hope people will be open-minded when they watch the film.”
Brown spoke of the comedian portraying the town in a bad light. However, judging by the trailer, it seems the 44 year old known for characters such as Borat and Ali G, is taking a more serious approach as it shows very little of Cohen, focusing more on co-star Mark Strong and his Mi6 spy character, rather than the residents of the Lincolnshire town.
The film also stars a highly diverse cast, from the likes of Rebel Wilson, Penelope Cruz, Ian McShane, and Isla Fisher.
Following in the footsteps of past controversial projects Bruno, Borat, and The Dictator, Grimsby looks set to cause up just as much of a stir.
Grimsby is currently marked for release in 4th March 2016
