Nashville’s Golden Girl Is Back

Hayden Panettiere’s return to TV is music to fans ears.

She was the country music blonde bombshell of American Broadcasting Company’s smash hit TV show “Nashville” as pop diva Juliette Barns, a gorgeous yet undeniably flawed singing star whose career saw more extremes in a year than most see in a life time. However, fans were left devastated when ABC axed the show after just four seasons, leaving Panettiere’s character ‘Juliette’ with a stack of unanswered problems and unresolved cliff hangers. The season four finale aired after ABC cancelled the show on May 12th.

Luckily for fans, and Hayden Panettiere we imagine, the show was picked up by the US based Country Music Channel (CMT) for a fifth season this year, premiering in January 2017. Directors have teased us with a short trailer of what is to come in the upcoming installment of “Nashville”, and my gosh, we are excited!

Captured in front of a gold, sparkling backdrop, the 27-year-old mother of one looks back to her very best, after suffering from months of highly publicised postpartum depression early last year after the birth of her daughter Kaya, leading to weight loss and forcing the star to leave the series in the middle of filming season four. Appearing healthy, happy and in good form, the blonde beauty looks better than ever ahead of the premier of the new season, with adoring fans highlighting her gleaming figure and glowing skin.

Other “Nashville” stars including Sam Palladio, Jonathan Jackson, Clare Bowen, and Chris Carmack are also set to return for season five. Season four ended with Juliette’s ex-husband Avery Barkley, played by Jackson, receiving news that the airport had lost contact with her jet 90 miles outside of Nashville, causing her fate to be uncertain…and we’ve been wondering ever since!

The show has welcomed new producers during the CMT takeover including fresh faced film creators Ed Zwick and Marshall Herskovitz replacing established execs at ABC. Season five of Nashville will premiere with a two-hour episode on January 5th, picking up where season four left off. With previous seasons of Nashville being available to watch on Sky here in the UK, it is yet to be announced when and how UK viewers will be able to stream the upcoming season here at home. Hayden received two Golden Globe Award nominations for Best Supporting Actress for her portrayal of Juliette in 2012 and 2013, and if the trailer is anything to go by, she’s set to achieve many more!
