Last minute Halloween Looks

Something wicked this way comes, and it’s not a carnivorous clown or Michael Myers in mask – it’s the fast approaching deadline for the perfect Halloween look! If you’re running out of time and fresh out of ideas, here are three simple makeup looks that will save you this Halloween.

Spider Queen

Step 1: Start with your foundation and eyebrows done as you normally would.

Step 2: For eyeshadow, begin by applying a shimmery light grey shadow to your whole lid. Then, take a black glitter shadow and blend into the outer corners and crease of your eyes. On the middle of your lid, take a matte grey shadow and blend it between the two colours.

Step 3: Finish your eyes by lining your upper lash line with a wing and applying mascara.

Step 4: To create a spiderweb, draw several lines fanning out from the outer corner of your eyes using eyeliner. The upper most line should be just above your temple and the lowest should be by the top of your jaw. Between the lines you’ve drawn, make small arcs to create a spiderweb pattern.

Step 5: Finish off with a matte red lipstick.

Step 1: Start with your foundation and eyebrows done as you normally would.

Step 2: For eyes, you’ll need a dark, bright, and light blue eyeshadow. Start with the dark blue eyeshadow and blend it into your crease and outer corner. Then pat the bright blue shadow into the middle of your lid and blend with the dark blue. Finally, take the light blue shadow into the inner corner of your eye and blend with the bright blue. Finish off the eyes with winged eyeliner and mascara.

Step 3: Using eyeliner, create a downward triangle so that the base is attached to your lower lash line. Draw another triangle facing upwards just above your eyebrow. Recreate this on both sides of your face. At the point of each triangle, also add a small circle.

Step 4: Apply a matte blue lipstick. Then, taking a small brush, use the lipstick to extend a line from the corners of your mouth to create that creepy clown smile.

Hint: Don’t have blue shadows or lipstick? Recreate this look using any colour scheme you fancy!

Skull

Step 1: Start with your foundation, eyebrows and eyes done as you normally would. (I suggest darker eyeshadow or a smokey look.)

Step 2: Using eyeliner, draw two vertical lines along the bridge of your nose with one being slightly longer than the other. Starting from the top of these lines, draw half teardrop shapes ending at the bottom of your nose. Fill in the space created, but leave a gap between the two initial lines you drew on the bridge of your nose.

Step 3: Using eyeliner again, extend a line from the corners of your mouth. Along this line and across your lips, draw vertical lines to create the teeth.
