Fulham have announced the appointment of Claudio Ranieri as first team manager, sacking Jokanovic after just 12 games.

The West London side currently sit bottom of the Premier League table with just one win and five points and have conceded the most goals – 31.

Ranieri is making his return to English football after his sacking by Leicester in February 2017, the season after guiding them to their first Premier League title. He has since spent one season at Nantes.

Fulham chairman Shahid Khan told the club website: “I wasn’t anticipating having to make this announcement related to Slavisa and wish the circumstances were such that I didn’t have to, but our path this season has led me to make what I know is the correct decision, at the right time, for our players, the Club and our supporters.”

The Italian has the international break to get to know his new players before Southampton visit Craven Cottage on November 24th for an early six-pointer.
