Ginger in general, originated from China and has many health and beauty benefits. It contains gingerol which helps with digestion, nausea and the flu. It has many powerful anti-diabetic properties, meaning that it lowers blood sugars and improves heart disease risks. It can also, reduce menstrual pain and is very effective when taken at the beginning of the menstrual period. Apart from that it can prevent cancer. According to PMC, a study of 30 individuals, 2 grams of ginger extract per day significantly reduced pro-inflammatory signalling molecules in the colon. Studies have proved that ginger can protect against age-related damage to the brain and improve brain function in elderly women. This just proves of how much healthy this spice is but ironically it is combined with a product, which is not so healthy…
Coke attacks our enamel in our teeth, it causes addiction and it makes us feel hungry and thirsty for more. But when it comes to more serious health risks this beverage may affect us even worse.
Coca-Cola contains caffeine, which can contribute to physical and psychological symptoms such as anxiety and headaches. It contains 39 grams of sugar, which with constant consumption may increase type 2 diabetes. The famous beverage contains 140 ‘empty’ calories, meaning that they do not actually add any beneficial nutrients into our diet, apart from extra weight gain.
