Twitter to improve its conversation filter

Lifestyle, Tech, Tech (news), Technology
Ten years after its foundation, Twitter is to enable users to mute conversations and avoid being notified of tweets containing specific words or phrases. Reporter: Adrian Vasilescu | Sub-Editor: Alina Isachenka The update is effective when it comes to protecting users with viral tweets from engaging in never-ending conversations, allowing for ditching them in a silent manner. The users will also have the option to mute the names of TV shows or sporting events they have not seen yet in order to avoid spoilers. They will not appear in their notifications. The mute tool will allow users to mute entire conversation threads without blocking others or removing said threads from their timelines, so they will remain unaffected. You can thank Toys R Us for this leak… Reporter: Joseph Carey | Sub-Editor: Jack Leslie Although Nintendo has stated they wouldn't be revealing any further information about the Nintendo Switch until next year, it appears the Canadian arm of Toys R Us believes the system is going to launch for $329.99 CAD or roughly £200 for us in the UK. Reporter: Adrian Vasilescu | Sub-Editor: Jack Leslie They will be giving the said mobile sensors to a group of Londoners, which they can clip to their clothes and carry them around the city as part of a beta test. The sensors will stay linked to an app on their phones, which will allow them to see the current levels of air pollution as they travel. In Plume’s agenda, there is also a pending project which involves a live map of London’s air quality based on the data collected. They will be collaborating with scientists from Imperial College London for analysis and come up with measures intended to lower people’s exposure to air pollution. “T

Not only is Dishonored 2 a perfect echo of the ethos that earned its predecessor a Game Of The Year title 4 years ago, it will also seriously make you question how much of a sociopath you are. Reporter: Ryan Yeo | Sub-Editor: Emre Gunes Set 15 years after the Dunwall plague, Dishonored 2 is injected with much needed colour through tanned European architecture and healthy greens, no longer consumed by muddy darkness. The now reigning Empress, Emily Kalwdin, protected by her father and bodyguard Corvo Attano, are once again overthrown by the witch, Delilah. With a much more engaging storyline, the player is encouraged to care about their approach to certain characters as it will affect the outcome of the game. The game pushes you to dare, try and fail to fully explore your options i...
