Dystopian futures, 60s music legends and hunting terrorists: The TriForce Film Festival 2018 opens today

TriForce Creative Network encourages diversity and inclusion in filmmaking and are running workshops helping filmmakers with funding, shooting and making connections within the industry. The festival kicks off today at 11.00am and will last over 12 hours, with a range of workshops and seminars led by industry professionals to help emerging filmmakers develop their skills. Throughout the day there will be screenings of the 16 shortlisted films, with an evening gala at the end of the event to announce the winners. The festival celebrates films that have been created by a diverse group of people, with many of them starring people from minority groups. With tomorrow being the start of the festive month, and the first day of advent opening. We at Voice of London ask, what are the streaming services giving us this Christmas?  Everyone knows the greatest and most beloved films are played at Christmas time, whether its Shrek or the Harry Potter films, blockbuster movies are featured heavily over the festive season. However, unless you live under a rock, chances are you’ll have and mainly use a streaming service for all your television and movie needs. So while the BBC and ITV will be providing you with blockbusters to watch while you eat yourself into 2019, with less than I month till the big day, what are the streaming services giving you this Christmas? Italian film director Bernardo Bertolucci dies at age 77

Yesterday, November 26th, the Italian film director Bernardo Bertolucci passed at the age of 77. He died yesterday morning at 7 am, in his home in Trastevere, Rome. The mortuary was arranged for today, starting at 10 am until 7 pm tonight. Numerous important figures from the Italian public scene showed up, from the colleague director Roberto Taviani, to the former Italian prime minister Walter Veltroni to the capital’s mayor Virginia Raggi. Countless fans where there as well, to pay tribute and say goodbye to the filmmaker. Respects were payed and thoughts sent from abroad as well, from the cinema to the art and the journalism industry.
