It’s hard to imagine going through the season without something to lift your spirit. We’ve sorted a list of the best winter cocktails that will not only prevent you from the cold, but are also innovative and easy to make at home.

- Hot Cocoa Martini
It’s time to elevate the classic martini cocktail to a new level, with a splash of some cocoa. Not only easy to make, but it will also bring those childhood memories back – when Christmas was all about being wrapped under the blanket with hot cocoa in hand. So relax, take a sip and enjoy your holiday.
- Cranberry Margarita
If you are a huge fan of margaritas as we are, you will love this version of the cocktail. Apparently one of the best fruits to pair with tequila – not that it doesn’t taste good on its own – is exactly the cranberry. It adds the perfect touch of tartness to the drink and makes you more “berry-merry”.
While the rosé might not be the ultimate drink you will opt for in the cold days, the rosé sangria is definitely something you should try. Unlike the classic sangria, which is made with dark wine and orange juice, our version of it is a bit lighter. Lively and pink, it has that tangy-sweet taste you need at this time of the year.
- Bourbon and Rum Eggnog
The one and only thing we are sure about with this cocktail is that once you try it, you will end up sipping glass after glass. The difference compared to those you can buy in a shop is astonishing. Easy to make at home, the drink is rich and decadent in flavour, with a warm vanilla taste.
5.Berry Gin Sparkler
The berry gin sparkler is the drink that captures the spirit of the season. Sweet, sparkling and tarty this drink is something you should make this Christmas. The extra effort you have to make is finding fresh berries, as they will make the final product way more delicious.
- Mojito Punch
While a mojito is the most refreshing thing you can have on a hot summer day, we twisted it around and made it a December drink. The ice ring really makes it a stunner so don’t skip it. It is the perfect accompaniment for the Christmas party table, or for a nice gathering with family and friends.
- Mulled Apple Cider
If you have never tried a mulled cider, this one is really warming. It is not hard to make it from scratch and the warm spices will definitely make you feel cosy. It smells as good as it tastes. The only thing about it is that you have to be really patient, as it has to be made on the slow cooker.
- Whiskey Peach Cocktail
If you are an English person, the one and only common thing you will find on every food label is 5 a day. So here are our suggestions of how to get your daily fruit serving with some whiskey touch. Ok, not really. And yet, if you are a fan of whiskey, the drink is definitely a must-try. All you have to do is mix peach liquor with some whiskey and enjoy.
- Tequila Hot Chocolate
Warning: don’t drink this for the breakfast, unless you don’t want to fall asleep again . We know if you really love chocolate especially after a nap, the temptation will be hard. But, please try and have it later because in the end it still has alcohol. To get the most of it, do it with dark chocolate and spike it with top-shelf aged tequila.
In the depths of the winter, if it is too cold to venture out, shake up equal parts of Bourbon, Campari and sweet vermouth and sip it on the rocks. You still haven’t tried it? Do it, now.
Cheers to the holiday.
